Cada mes de febrero, las regiones de Puno y Oruro se transforman en un mar de colores. Miles de danzarines, tanto de danzas aut\u00f3ctonas como de trajes de luces, deslumbran con su devoci\u00f3n a la Virgen de la Candelaria.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cada a\u00f1o, multitudes de personas viajan a estas ciudades para venerar a la \u201cMamita Candelaria\u201d, festividad que fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad<\/a>. Sin embargo, desde La Paz y Oruro surgen protestas por supuesto plagio y apropiaci\u00f3n de danzas como la Diablada, los Caporales y las Llameradas, las cuales Bolivia considera propias, argumentando que se originaron exclusivamente en su territorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfSe trata de copia o plagio, o m\u00e1s bien de una identidad cultural compartida entre dos naciones heredera de sus antepasados?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disputa por el origen de las danzas andinas y su identidad cultural compartida<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La controversia escala a gran medida cuando Bolivia organiz\u00f3 una campa\u00f1a que realiz\u00f3 en distintas naciones, tanto en Am\u00e9rica Latina, Europa, Asia y Estados Unidos, llevando la frase: \u201cNo al plagio\u201d, \u201cBolivia libre de plagio\u201d y \u201c100% boliviano\u201d. Esta iniciativa estuvo liderada por Napole\u00f3n G\u00f3mez<\/a>, presidente de la Organizaci\u00f3n Boliviana de Defensa y Difusi\u00f3n del Folklore (OBDEFO). Generando discordia entre ambas naciones, al punto de que el tema lleg\u00f3 a los o\u00eddos de la UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otra parte, historiadores, personajes y autores pune\u00f1os defienden la tradici\u00f3n a capa y espada, aclarando que no se ha apropiado ninguna danza de su regi\u00f3n, ya que todo forma parte de una identidad cultural compartida. Argumentan que estas expresiones \u201cexist\u00edan mucho antes que las fronteras de las rep\u00fablicas modernas\u201d. Seg\u00fan esta versi\u00f3n, los pueblos quechuas y aymaras, junto al Lago Titicaca, comparten ra\u00edces y rituales que han evolucionado con el tiempo hasta la actualidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
